Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password.
Audio and transcription data: When you use an AcousticScribe device, audio is streamed to our servers for real-time transcription. We store the resulting text transcripts associated with your account. We do not store raw audio data after transcription is complete.
Device information: We store a device identifier, a user-assigned name, and connection timestamps to manage device registration and authentication.
Usage data: We collect basic server logs including connection times and error information for service reliability.
Your data is stored in secure, encrypted databases. All connections between your devices, our servers, and our databases are encrypted using TLS. Authentication uses industry-standard cryptographic methods.
We use trusted third-party services for authentication, database hosting, speech-to-text transcription, and server infrastructure. Audio data is sent to our transcription provider for processing. We carefully select providers that maintain strong data protection practices. Please contact us if you would like more details about our service providers.
Transcription sessions are retained until you delete them. You can delete individual sessions from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
